Betty Mayfield's Beef Casserole

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes, diced
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- pepper, to taste
- 1 (6 ounce) package egg noodles, cooked and drained
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 6 green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup american cheese, grated
Recipe
- 1 brown ground beef; drain.
- 2 add salt, sugar, tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic and pepper.
- 3 in a mixing bowl, combine cooked egg noodles with sour cream, cream cheese and green onions.
- 4 in a greased 3-quart casserole dish, arrange meat mixture and noodle mixture in alternate layers.
- 5 top with cheese.
- 6 cover and bake at 350f for 35 minutes.
- 7 i serve this casserole with a fresh salad and hot garlic bread!
