Boatwrights Sweet & Spicy Salad Pecans

Total Time: 37 mins Preparation Time: 2 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (depending on how hot you want them)
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 lb pecans

Recipe

  • 1 combine butter & brown sugar in a large heavy pot.
  • 2 bring to a boil.
  • 3 remove from heat.
  • 4 stir in cinnamon, chili, & cayenne.
  • 5 add nuts, stir to coat.
  • 6 pour on parchment lined cookie sheet.
  • 7 bake at 325 for 20 - 30 minutes, till no longer syrupy, stir once or twice while baking.
  • 8 sprinkle with salt.
  • 9 cool & store in airtight container.
