Barbecued Lamb Chops

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (10 1/4 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon instant minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried italian salad dressing mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 6 lamb chops, 1 inch thick

Recipe

  • 1 melt shortening and brown chops well on both sides in the hot fat. (nowadays i am inclined to skip the fat and just brown them in a non stick pan i have sprayed with cooking spray).
  • 2 drain well. combine the remaining ingredients. pour over the chops, cover and simmer for 1 hour, until tender. you could bake them in the oven instead of on top of the stove if you are so inclined.
