Barbecued Lamb Chops

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 (10 1/4 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon instant minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon dried italian salad dressing mix
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 6 lamb chops, 1 inch thick
Recipe
- 1 melt shortening and brown chops well on both sides in the hot fat. (nowadays i am inclined to skip the fat and just brown them in a non stick pan i have sprayed with cooking spray).
- 2 drain well. combine the remaining ingredients. pour over the chops, cover and simmer for 1 hour, until tender. you could bake them in the oven instead of on top of the stove if you are so inclined.
