Barbecued Brisket

Total Time: 8 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 1 large beef brisket
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons salad oil
  • 1/2 cup hickory flavored barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brisket juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee
  • 2 dashes tabasco sauce
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1 dash heinz 57 steak sauce

Recipe

  • 1 place brisket in covered pan with aluminum foil or lid with sauce mixture of 1/2 cup water, 1/4 cup cider vinegar, 1/4 cup catsup, 1/4 cup syrup, and 2 tbsp salad oil.
  • 2 bake in 225°f oven for 8 hours.
  • 3 mix barbecue sauce and serve warm over sliced brisket.
