Apple Cheddar Salad With Maple Dressing

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 8 cups washed dried and torn into bite sized pieces boston lettuce or 8 cups mixed greens
  • 1 cup walnuts or 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2 apples, cored and sliced
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shaved
  • 2 tablespoons apple cyder vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

Recipe

  • 1 in jar with tight fitting lid.
  • 2 combine the dressing ingredients and shake well.
  • 3 set aside.
  • 4 preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 5 on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • 6 spread out the nuts that were combined with the syrup.
  • 7 bake 15 minutes.
  • 8 cool.
  • 9 to assemble:.
  • 10 toss salad greens of choice with as much of the dressing as you would like.
  • 11 devide onto 6-8 serving plates and top with apples, cheese and nuts.
