Anti-martha Stewart Meatloaf

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 -1 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1 lb lamb sausage
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce or 2 beef bouillon cubes, crumbled
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- salt (unless using bouillon cubes)
- pepper
- 1 dash cayenne pepper
- 1/2 package club crackers, coarsely crushed (approx. 20-24)
Recipe
- 1 begin preheating oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 combine first 9 ingredients in bowl and mix thoroughly.
- 3 mix in crushed crackers until well-blended.
- 4 pat mixture into ungreased loaf pan.
- 5 bake at 350 degrees for 60-90 minutes.
- 6 note 1: here at high altitude, this recipe needs 90 minutes to bake.
- 7 at lower altitudes, it won't take as long.
- 8 note 2: honey dijon salad dressing makes a nice substitute for ketchup in this recipe and gives the meatloaf an elegant flavor.
